    Job Title: Construction Architect

    Job Summary:

    The Construction Architect will be responsible for overseeing and managing architectural aspects of construction projects in Canada. This role requires expertise in architectural design, project coordination, and construction methodologies. The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with regulations, and contribute to the successful completion of projects.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and prepare architectural designs, drawings, and specifications for construction projects, incorporating client requirements, building codes, and standards.
    • Collaborate with clients, engineers, and contractors to determine project objectives, scope, and budget constraints.
    • Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary data, assess feasibility, and review site conditions for design and planning purposes.
    • Use architectural software and tools to create detailed 2D and 3D models, renderings, and visualizations.
    • Ensure that architectural designs align with structural, mechanical, and electrical requirements, collaborating with other professionals as needed.
    • Coordinate and integrate architectural design with other disciplines, such as civil engineering and interior design.
    • Prepare and review project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams during the construction phase, addressing any architectural-related issues or modifications.
    • Monitor and review construction progress to ensure compliance with design intent, specifications, and quality standards.
    • Stay updated with current trends, technologies, and best practices in architectural design and construction.

    Required Qualifications and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
    • Professional Architectural registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant provincial architectural association in Canada.
    • Proven experience in architectural design and construction projects, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
    • Proficiency in architectural software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp.
    • Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, building codes, and regulations.
    • Excellent visualization and communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.

    Preferred Skills and Attributes:

    • Experience working on construction projects in Canada or similar environments.
    • Knowledge of Canadian building codes and regulations.
    • Familiarity with sustainable and green building practices.
    • Understanding of construction methodologies and materials.
    • Creativity and attention to detail in design solutions.
    • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
    • Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic work environment.
