Job Overview

The Family Caregiver will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, providing companionship, and ensuring the well-being and comfort of the elderly family members. This role requires empathy, patience, and the ability to manage various caregiving tasks efficiently.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor health conditions
• Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities to enhance mental and emotional well-being
• Assist with mobility and physical exercises to maintain physical health
• Perform light housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe living environment
• Monitor and report any changes in health or behavior to the family and healthcare professionals
• Accompany the elderly family members to medical appointments and other outings
• Ensure the safety and security of the elderly family members at all times

Qualifications/Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting and supporting the elderly
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature
• Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR
• Ability to work independently and as part of a family team

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in caregiving or a related field is preferred
• Previous experience as a caregiver or in a similar role
• Experience working with elderly individuals or those with chronic illnesses is an advantage
