Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a variety of vehicles, including cars, vans, trucks, or buses, depending on the assigned route and cargo.
• Transport goods and/or passengers to their destinations in a timely manner, following predetermined routes and schedules.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
• Load and unload cargo carefully, ensuring proper handling and secure placement.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with their luggage, answering questions, and maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or accidents that occur during transportation.
• Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure the safety of passengers, cargo, and other road users.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, fellow drivers, and other team members to coordinate schedules, report delays or issues, and ensure smooth operations.
• Stay updated on road and weather conditions, adjusting driving techniques as necessary to ensure safe and efficient travel.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license issued by the province or territory of employment.
• Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents in the past [insert number] years.
