Job Overview
A.S.P. Incorporated, a leading security and aviation services provider in Canada, is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Baggage Attendants. As a Baggage Attendant, you will be responsible for handling and transporting baggage in a safe and efficient manner within airport terminals.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist passengers with loading and unloading baggage onto conveyor belts and carts.
- Ensure baggage is properly tagged and sorted according to destination.
- Operate baggage handling equipment, such as tugs and dollies, following safety protocols.
- Monitor baggage flow and identify and resolve any issues or delays.
- Communicate effectively with airline staff and passengers to provide assistance as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in baggage handling areas.
- Adhere to all security and safety regulations governing baggage handling procedures.
Qualifications/Skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy baggage and operate equipment safely.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and recordkeeping.
Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in baggage handling or customer service preferred but not required.
- Completion of airport security training programs may be required.
Working Environments
- Indoor and outdoor airport terminals and baggage handling areas.
- Exposure to loud noises and varying temperatures.
