Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and specialty drinks, according to established recipes and standards.
- Greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide knowledgeable recommendations based on customer preferences.
- Operate coffee-making equipment such as espresso machines, grinders, and milk frothers with precision and efficiency.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the coffee preparation area, including equipment maintenance and routine cleaning.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately, maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
- Uphold food safety and hygiene standards, including proper storage and handling of perishable items.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications/Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar role, with a deep understanding of coffee preparation techniques and beverage service.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse clientele.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in coffee preparation or hospitality management are a plus.
- Previous experience working as a Barista in a hotel, café, or similar establishment preferred.
