Job Summary: As a Bituminous Paving Labourer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our paving operations, ensuring the successful completion of projects. Your responsibilities will include assisting paving crews, operating paving equipment, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role requires physical endurance, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality paving results to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of paving sites, including cleaning and clearing debris and obstacles.
- Operate and maintain various paving equipment, such as asphalt spreaders, rollers, and rakes.
- Assist in the laying and smoothing of hot mix asphalt or bituminous materials.
- Direct and control traffic flow around the work zone, ensuring the safety of workers and the public.
- Collaborate with paving crews to ensure efficient and effective paving operations.
- Participate in the repair and maintenance of existing paved surfaces as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during all work activities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the paving equipment and work area.
- Assist with other construction-related tasks and projects as required.
