Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team in Canada. The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and other materials.
Job Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials.
- Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes.
- Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, cabinets, and staircases.
- Inspect and repair damaged structures and fixtures.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with other construction workers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.
Qualifications/Skills
- Proficiency in carpentry techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and cuts.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program or equivalent training.
- Previous experience in carpentry or construction work required.
- Certification in carpentry or related field is advantageous.
Working Environments
- Construction sites, both indoors and outdoors.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions and physical demands.
