Experience
- 3 years to less than 5 years
Job Responsibilities:
- Feed, water, and monitor the health and well-being of cattle.
- Assist with breeding, calving, and overall herd management.
- Maintain clean and organized barns, feeding areas, and equipment.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment related to cattle farming.
- Administer vaccinations and medications as directed by veterinarians.
- Assist in record-keeping and data entry related to cattle activities.
- Follow safety protocols and animal welfare standards.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Previous experience in cattle farming or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of cattle behavior, health, and nutrition.
- Ability to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar role is an asset.
Working Environments: Cattle Farm Workers work outdoors in various weather conditions. The job may involve exposure to dust, dirt, and animal-related allergens. Protective gear and training will be provided to ensure a safe working environment.
