Job Overview

As a Drywall Installer at Proficient Constructions Ltd., you will be responsible for measuring, cutting, and installing drywall sheets in various residential and commercial projects. Your precision and craftsmanship will ensure that our construction projects meet the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings.
• Secure drywall sheets in place using screws, nails, or adhesive.
• Prepare and apply joint compound to seams and joints, ensuring a smooth and seamless finish.
• Sand and smooth surfaces in preparation for painting or finishing.
• Repair and replace damaged drywall as needed.
• Work collaboratively with other construction team members to ensure project timelines are met.
• Follow all safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications/Skills

• Proven experience as a drywall installer or similar role in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and installing drywall sheets.
• Strong knowledge of drywall tools, materials, and techniques.
• Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical condition and stamina for performing physically demanding tasks.

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Completion of a drywall installer apprenticeship or relevant training program is an asset.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in drywall installation.
