Job Overview:
Marriott International is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to join our team in Oman. The General Accountant will be responsible for overseeing various accounting functions to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Prepare financial reports and analysis for management review.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Assist with audits and provide documentation as needed.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or ACCA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
