Job Overview
Alfaisal University is seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our team in Saudi Arabia. As an IT Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and supporting the university's IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and providing technical assistance to faculty, staff, and students.
Job Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems, including desktops, laptops, printers, and servers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
- Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person.
- Assist with IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and installations.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as system updates, backups, and security patches.
- Manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring compliance with security policies.
- Document technical procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure efficient and effective IT operations.
Qualifications/Skills
- Associate degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and networking technologies.
- Proficiency in operating systems, such as Windows and macOS.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support roles.
