Job Overview:
Hotel Indigo is seeking a talented and creative Pastry Chef to join our team in Oman. The Pastry Chef will be responsible for overseeing the pastry kitchen and creating delicious desserts and baked goods for our guests.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute creative pastry recipes and menu items.
- Supervise and train pastry kitchen staff in preparation techniques and presentation standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the pastry kitchen.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen and equipment.
- Collaborate with other kitchen departments to coordinate menu offerings and special requests.
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients into pastry offerings.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification in pastry arts.
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a hotel or restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and flavors.
- Creative flair and attention to detail in presentation.
- Leadership and team management skills.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification in pastry arts.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a hotel or restaurant.
