Job Description:
As a plumber, you will play a crucial role in our organization, ensuring the proper installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems. Your responsibilities will include:
- Installation and Repair: Install, repair, and maintain various plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and fixtures, ensuring compliance with plumbing codes and regulations.
- Reading Blueprints: Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and configuration of plumbing systems in new constructions or renovations.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot plumbing issues, such as leaks, clogs, and malfunctioning fixtures, and implement appropriate solutions.
- Pipefitting: Perform pipefitting tasks, including measuring, cutting, threading, and connecting pipes using various tools and techniques.
- Fixture Installation: Install and connect fixtures, faucets, valves, and appliances, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to quality standards.
- Maintenance and Inspections: Conduct regular maintenance inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential problems, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure optimal performance.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with other tradespeople, contractors, and clients to coordinate plumbing projects and provide excellent customer service.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, use personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Job Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Work Permit for Canada: Possess a valid work permit that allows you to work legally as a plumber in Canada. Ensure that your work permit is up to date and complies with Canadian immigration regulations.
- Plumbing Certification: Hold a valid plumbing certification or license from a recognized institution or regulatory body. Familiarize yourself with the specific requirements of the province or territory where you intend to work.
