Job Summary: As a Poultry Farm Labourer, you will play a vital role in the daily care and maintenance of our poultry farm. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the well-being of the birds, maintaining cleanliness in the farm area, and supporting various farm operations. This position requires compassion for animals, physical stamina, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of animal care and farm hygiene.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the feeding and watering of poultry, ensuring they receive adequate nutrition and care.
  • Monitor the health and behavior of the birds, reporting any concerns to the farm supervisor.
  • Collect eggs, clean nesting areas, and manage egg production in accordance with farm protocols.
  • Clean and disinfect poultry housing, equipment, and facilities to maintain a healthy and hygienic environment for the birds.
  • Participate in the handling and transportation of poultry, following proper safety and animal welfare procedures.
  • Support the vaccination and medication of birds under the guidance of experienced farm personnel.
  • Perform general farm maintenance tasks, such as repairing fences and maintaining farm equipment.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during all farm activities.
  • Collaborate with other farm workers to ensure efficient poultry farm operations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Previous experience in poultry farming or animal husbandry is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Ability to handle physically demanding tasks and work in a farm environment.
  • Compassion for animals and a commitment to their welfare and well-being.
