Job Overview
Serco Plc is seeking a meticulous Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Riyadh. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing costs and contracts related to construction projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to evaluate project viability.
- Prepare tender documents and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Monitor project costs and expenditures throughout the construction phase.
- Conduct valuations and assessments of work in progress and completed work.
- Review and approve payment applications from contractors.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or variations in project costs.
- Provide cost advice and support to project managers and stakeholders.
- Keep accurate records of all financial transactions and documentation related to projects.
Qualifications/Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional accreditation or certification in Quantity Surveying preferred.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and MS Office suite.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management roles.
Working Environments
- Office-based role, with occasional visits to construction sites.
