Job Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol designated areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, theft, vandalism, or any other security-related issues.
- Maintain a visible and authoritative presence to deter unauthorized access and maintain order.
- Respond promptly to alarms and security breaches, investigating and taking appropriate action.
- Conduct regular security checks and report any unusual activities or incidents.
- Operate security equipment such as surveillance cameras, alarms, and communication devices.
- Enforce rules and regulations to ensure the safety and security of the premises.
- Assist clients and visitors with information and directions as needed.
- Provide detailed and accurate incident reports.
Qualifications/Skills
- Valid Security Guard License in Ontario.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of alertness.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in stressful situations.
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to security.
Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Security Guard License in Ontario.
- Previous experience in a security or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
