Job Responsibilities
- Transport goods and materials over short and long distances.
- Operate trucks safely and efficiently, following all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securement.
- Perform routine maintenance on trucks, such as checking fluids and tire pressure.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours worked.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications/Skills
- Valid Class 1 driver's license.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Proven experience as a truck driver.
- Strong knowledge of truck maintenance and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle various road and weather conditions.
Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a truck driver.
Working Environments
- Primarily driving trucks on highways and local roads.
- May require occasional overnight stays.
