Construction Helper

Job Description: We are seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to join our team as Construction Helpers. As a Construction Helper, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to skilled tradespeople and construction workers on various construction projects across Canada. Your primary role will be to assist with various tasks to ensure the smooth execution of construction projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist skilled tradespeople and construction workers with various tasks such as demolition, excavation, framing, concrete work, and general construction activities.
2. Carry and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment to designated work areas.
3. Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris, trash, and hazardous materials.
4. Perform basic carpentry, painting, and drywall tasks under supervision.
5. Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently, following all safety guidelines and regulations.
6. Assist in the setup and dismantling of scaffolding and temporary structures.
7. Help with the installation of pipes, electrical wiring, and HVAC systems as directed.
8. Follow instructions and work collaboratively with the construction team to ensure timely completion of projects.
9. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
10. Report any safety hazards, accidents, or incidents to the supervisor immediately.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
2. Prior experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required.
3. Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor for extended periods in various weather conditions.
4. Familiarity with construction tools, equipment, and materials is an asset.
5. Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
6. Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment.
7. Basic knowledge of construction safety practices and procedures.
8. Good communication skills and the ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
9. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to different job sites.
