    Job Overview

    The Emirates Group in Dubai is currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Cargo Control Officer to join our team. The Cargo Control Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of cargo operations, including monitoring and tracking shipments, coordinating with various stakeholders, and maintaining accurate records.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Monitor incoming and outgoing cargo shipments to ensure compliance with safety and security regulations
    • Coordinate with airline staff, ground handlers, and customs officials to facilitate smooth cargo operations
    • Track and update cargo movement information using computerized systems or manual logs
    • Conduct inspections of cargo containers and documents to verify accuracy and completeness
    • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to cargo shipments
    • Prepare and maintain accurate records of cargo movements, including manifests, invoices, and reports
    • Provide support and assistance to cargo handling teams as needed
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry regulations

    Qualifications/Skills

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cargo handling procedures
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
    • Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office Suite and cargo management software
    • Knowledge of aviation industry regulations and cargo handling practices is preferred

    Education and Experience Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
    • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in cargo operations or logistics management
    • Previous experience with cargo handling systems and procedures is an asset
