Experience

• 3 years to less than 5 years

Responsibilities:

1. Crop Cultivation: Assist in planting, cultivating, and harvesting various crops such as fruits, vegetables, or grains, following established agricultural practices.
2. Irrigation and Watering: Monitor and operate irrigation systems to ensure crops receive adequate water supply, especially during dry periods.
3. Pest and Weed Control: Participate in pest and weed control activities, including the application of pesticides or herbicides as directed by supervisors.
4. Livestock Care: Help with the care and feeding of livestock, including cattle, poultry, or other farm animals, ensuring their health and well-being.
5. Equipment Operation: Safely operate farm machinery and equipment, such as tractors, harvesters, and other specialized tools.
6. General Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on farm buildings, fences, and equipment to ensure they remain in good working condition.
7. Harvesting and Sorting: Assist in the collection and sorting of harvested crops, ensuring that quality standards are met.
8. Packing and Storage: Prepare produce for storage or shipment by sorting, grading, and packing them appropriately.
9. Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
10. Adaptability: Be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adapt to the seasonal demands of agricultural work.

Requirements:

1. Previous Farming Experience: While prior farming experience is an asset, we also welcome individuals with a strong work ethic and a keen interest in agriculture.
2. Physical Endurance: Farming can be physically demanding, so candidates must be in good physical condition and capable of lifting heavy objects and working on their feet for extended periods.
3. Team Player: Ability to work well within a team environment and follow instructions from supervisors.
4. Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to pay attention to details, especially when handling and sorting crops.
5. Valid Work Permit/Visa: For candidates applying from outside Canada, we offer Visa sponsorship to eligible applicants, allowing them to work legally in Canada.
