Job Summary: As a Furniture Manufacturing Labourer, you will play a crucial role in our furniture production process, supporting the creation of exquisite and high-quality furniture items. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks, from preparing materials to assisting skilled artisans and ensuring a smooth workflow within the manufacturing facility. This position requires attention to detail, physical endurance, and a commitment to delivering top-notch furniture products to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and handling of raw materials, including cutting, shaping, and sanding wood or other materials as required.
  • Support skilled furniture artisans in their daily tasks, such as assembling, finishing, and upholstering furniture pieces.
  • Operate and maintain manufacturing machinery and equipment, such as saws, drills, and sanders, following safety guidelines.
  • Organize and manage inventory of materials and finished products to ensure efficient production flow.
  • Perform quality checks and inspections of furniture items to ensure they meet company standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the manufacturing area, including workstations and tools.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during all work activities.
  • Collaborate with other furniture manufacturing staff to meet production targets and project deadlines.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Previous experience in furniture manufacturing, woodworking, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Ability to handle physically demanding tasks and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with woodworking tools and equipment is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced artisans and supervisors.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality furniture products.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
