Job Summary: As a Public Works Labourer, you will play a vital role in supporting the maintenance and operation of public infrastructure, including roads, bridges, parks, and utilities. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks, including repairs, construction, and general maintenance. This role requires physical stamina, adaptability, and a commitment to ensuring the safety and functionality of public assets.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of roads, sidewalks, and public facilities.
- Participate in the construction and installation of public infrastructure projects.
- Operate and maintain equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, and snowplows, following safety guidelines.
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including painting, cleaning, and landscaping.
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of water and sewer systems.
- Support traffic control measures during roadworks and construction projects.
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during all work activities.
- Collaborate with other public works staff to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Support emergency response efforts during inclement weather or other public service emergencies.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience in public works or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
