WSP, a global engineering and professional services firm, is actively seeking dedicated Safety Officers to join our team in Saudi Arabia. As a Safety Officer at WSP, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and secure work environment across various projects, contributing to the overall success of our organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee safety programs and policies in compliance with local regulations and international standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Provide safety training to employees, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Investigate and report on accidents or incidents, recommending preventive measures.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety measures into project plans.
Qualifications/Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Professional certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and hazard analyses.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in safety management, preferably in the engineering or construction industry.
- Professional certification in occupational health and safety is an advantage.
