Job Responsibilities
- Process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately and efficiently
- Greet customers and assist them with their purchases
- Maintain a clean and organized cashier station
- Balance cash drawer at the end of each shift and reconcile discrepancies
- Provide information about products, promotions, and store policies to customers
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
Qualifications/Skills
- Excellent numerical and math skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills
Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a cashier or retail sales role is preferred but not required
- Training in cash handling procedures and customer service is an asset
